President Adama on Thursday received Brikama Ba Farmers Cooperative Society who were at the presidency to update him on the state of affairs at the Jahaly-Pacharr rice field in the CRR.

The delegation, led by Mr Haruna Gassama, pleaded with the President to make the revival of the rice fields a priority.

In his response, the President assured the delegation that the Jalahly-Pacharr rice fields is already a priority to his government. He revealed that ten (10) tractors will be allocated for the revival of the rice project at Jahaly-Pacharr. Additionally, the President informed the delegation about the 80 million dollars agriculture project that would soon be launched to ensure the cultivation, processing, and packaging of made in The Gambia rice.
